    Here is a Koch's beer table place mat from the Fred Koch Brewery of Dunkirk, NY. It is in near mint condition, unused, crisp and fresh in color appearance. It measures approximately 11-3/4" in diameter. The artwork is printed on one side only, same as a typical a typical beer place mat.
    Although this item appears at first glance to a beer tray liner, I believe it was intended to be a table place mat. I say say this since it is printed on a much thinner paper, same as a table place mat. Typically beer tray liners are printed on thicker paper functioning as blotter to absorb moisture from damp glasses or bottles from a refrigerator. Therefore, I believe this item was intended as table place mat for sandwiches or full meals. The other possibility was it was intended to be a dual purpose item serving to perform both as a place mat or tray liner. The final option was simply a cost savings effort. Unfortunately the brewery closed many years ago so no one is available to clarify it's intended and answer the question.
    In closing, you can agree or disagree, no problem or hard feelings. If you purchase one, you can name it as you wish.
