ORIGINAL (not a reproduction) print supplied to bars and stores selling Anheuser Busch products. These were removed by the Busch Company due to the graphic artwork, and public outcry. A small number never made it back made it back.
This sign (poster never made back) and is one a few ORIGINAL SIGNS I’ve seen, and l have been collecting advertising and slot machines for over 50 years. I purchased this particular advertising poster at a Arington auction in Las Vegas. Arington sold many rare and unique advertising and slot machines, juke boxes, and like. Patrons came from all over the country. Arington auctions never disappointed. Ok back to this poster was sent to a professional art frames business specialized in large art framing here in Los Angeles. Overall the poster is in great shape, the colors are still vibrant and the scene is very graphic. It does have some problems which is to be expected for posters that were not intended to last a great deal of time inexpensive paper especially. The lower right side is wrinkled, the lower left side has a noticeable crease and lastly there is a small hole in the lower center near the frame so it does not fall into the scene. My closeup photo makes it look much worse than it is. There are some is shadow looking area on the lower part of the poster, hence the acid paper behind the artwork to eliminate any further shadows.The framing alone cost close to 0. Take a look at the photo’s you can see how well the poster has held some 72 years. It’s been hanging in our family room and always drew attention from guests.
